Behaviour Policy
As a school we believe in promoting POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR.
We try to do this by:
- good quality teaching
- constructive and regular feedback to students
- appropriate recognition and rewards
- clear and consistent expectations
- maintaining a pleasant, safe and stimulating learning environment
- offering a range of extra curricular activities
- striving for high standards and having high expectations
- encouraging good relationships
Rewards and Recognition
These include:
- subject merit awards Y7-11
- positive comment slips
- schools commendations
- attendance certificates
- certificates for special events and activities
- commendations for Records of Achievement
- positive recognition
- being appointed a school ambassador
Particularly important events are our Annual Prizegiving Ceremony in the Autumn Term, special Invitation Evenings for Y7-10 and the presentation of Y11 Records of Achievement. Y11 students are also able to obtain the University Achievement Award.
Students are expected to come to school ready to learn
They need to:
- be punctual
- wear standard dress
- bring the right kit, books and equipment
- bring a bag
- make sure all passport to learning/homework has been completed
- drink water because it helps learning
