Careers Guidance for Teachers At Hinde House Academy we believe that every member of staff has a role to play in preparing our students for their future pathways. By embedding careers learning into the curriculum, we can help students understand how the knowledge and skills they gain in school connect to the wider world of work.

How Teachers Can Support Careers Education

• Highlight career links within your subject lessons (e.g., case studies, employer examples, job roles).

• Invite guest speakers or employers relevant to your subject area.

• Promote opportunities such as work experience, apprenticeship fairs, and university events.

• Encourage students to use our careers resources and speak to the Careers Leader.

Gatsby Benchmark 4: Careers in the Curriculum

Teachers are encouraged to make clear links between their subject and potential career pathways. This supports Gatsby Benchmark 4 and helps students see the relevance of their learning.
