Careers - Student Information
CEIAG (Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance) is integrated into the PSHE curriculum. Finance awareness, learning for the workplace, entrepreneurship, planning for the future and employability skills are among the topics studied. You will have numerous opportunities to interact with and work with a range of employers in various industries while you are in school. Sessions are carried out virtually or face to face.
All year 10 students have the opportunity to complete a week of work experience. You can develop the self-assurance and useful abilities you need to succeed in the workplace by being involved with work experience week. Gaining valuable work experience while you are still in school will help you immensely when it comes to getting hired, whether or not you plan to attend university.
We invite employers in to conduct mock interviews. Mock interviews will help you strengthen your communication skills, establish interview strategy techniques.
You will get all the support needed to perfect your CV. A CV is a document used when applying for jobs. It allows you to summarise your education, skills and experience enabling you to successfully sell your abilities to potential employers.
Students are given the opportunity to meet with the school’s career advisors at key decision points in school life or when they need specific support. At this point, they can discuss ideas for the future, explore different options at post-16.
