Free School Meals

The free school meals allowance in Sheffield is £2.54 from September 2023.

For children eligible for this it allows them buy lunch up to that value at lunchtime (it cannot be used at break times etc.).

 

Its not "just" about free lunch!

School  receives additional money for children in receipt of Free School Meals. This is called Pupil Premium funding.

This funding allows us to provide additional resources in school to support the progress of your child.

Universal Free School Meals

If a child attends a primary school and is in Reception/Key Stage 1, they are entitled to ‘universal infant free school meals’ regardless of their parent/carer’s income.
