Transition

Transition from our Primary Phase

 Moving to the next year group is an exciting time and, whilst we support our children to be resilient to be able to cope with change we are also mindful about their wellbeing . We aim to make the transitions smooth and seamless and do so by ensuring that we support all children through a series of activities before the changes in order for them to be well prepared. Our teachers meet with each other to pass on important information about your children, we use health and wellbeing lessons to prepare children for upcoming changes and we plan short sessions with the new teachers before the transitions occur. In July we move all of our children in to their new classes for the last week so that they have made the changes in a supported way, have a positive experience and can look forward to their return in September.
