Race for Life

Hinde House is holding its very own Race for Life Event for Cancer Research UK. Our young people are the generation that could see ground- breaking treatments and cures for cancer in their lifetime.

They are the rising stars who could be the researchers and lifesavers of tomorrow. By taking part in Race for Life and uniting together against cancer, they will be doing something really special. Cancer Research UK receives no Government Funding for their research, so the more of us who join the fight against cancer, the more money we can raise to beat cancer sooner.

We are asking students to pledge to raise a minimum of £10 each in sponsorship by either walking, jogging or running the 5 kilometre course around the school grounds on Wednesday 26th June.

All students will receive a back sign which they can personalise with their own message as well as a medal for completing the course. Students can wear as much pink and blue as they like but must wear appropriate trainers. They should wear full school uniform as normal on the day but will have the opportunity to change into their pink or blue clothes during tutor time. Although the weather has been very wet recently, please make sure your child has sun cream and plenty of water. In the event of extremely poor weather, we will make the decision on the day to postpone the event to the following week.

We would encourage you to ask sponsors to donate directly onto the Hinde House Page which can be found at

The link for this can be found on the Hinde House website. Alternatively, paper sponsor forms are available from the P.E department.

If you are happy for your child to participate in the Hinde House Race for Life event, please complete the reply slip and return to the P.E department no later than Friday 21st Jun.
