Sheffield School's Bouldering Competition

On 20th March, 12 students took part in the 'Sheffield Schools' Bouldering Competition at The Climbing Works. Secondary Phase entered 2 teams into the event.

Each group of 6 students had to complete a series of 10 climbing challenges, with a maximum of 3 attempts per person on each challenge. Completing the challenge on the first attempt scored you a maximum of 10 points, with 7 points for the second attempt and 5 points for the third. Students also scored 3 points if they made it past the bonus marker.

It was great to watch students demonstrate determination and resilience as they completed the climbs. Well done, to the Hinde House ‘A’ Team, who took home a bronze medal in the team category. A brilliant achievement and we are very proud of you all.

Congratulations to all students involved, but I would like to give a particular special mention to Adam Khapsalis and Britnay Lawrenson, who were identified as ‘talented climbers’ by the instructors.
