NHS - Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Y8 & Y9 - A message from NHS Child Immunisation Team 5th Feb 2021:

Dear Parent/ carers,
We would like to remind you of the importance of your child receiving their routine childhood immunisations when invited. This is vital in preventing outbreaks of serious childhood diseases. Pupils in year 8 and 9 have been identified as missing vaccines, due to the Covid 19 pandemic, subsequent restrictions and school closures. The immunisation team from Sheffield children’s hospital will be offering locality based clinics for children to receive their vaccine over the coming weeks and subsequent school holidays. Social distancing measures and personal protective equipment will be worn.

Please contact 0114 3053291 or 0114 3053604 Mon- Friday between 9-4 to book an appointment for your child or if you have further questions.

Kooth.com, a free, safe and confidential way for young people to receive counselling, support and advice online, will still be accessible over the break from school. We know that there are times when life can feel like a struggle and some extra support can be needed. Recognising this, Kooth has been commissioned by Sheffield City NHS Clinical Commissioning Group to provide support for young people aged 11- 18, (up to 25 if in care,) who live within the Sheffield City area.
Kooth is accessible 24/7 365 days of the year and provides access to quality counselling from BACP or UKCP accredited counselling professionals via a text based format from 12noon to 10pm on weekdays, and 6pm-10pm on weekends,  allowing young people to seek help and support at a time and location that is suitable for them.
